Three-day-long Marka-e-Haq celebrations are starting in Lahore today to mark the one-year anniversary of Pakistan’s victory.
Preparations for the main event at Liberty Chowk have been completed, and a stage and sound system have been installed.
According to the reports, a special ceremony will be held this evening to pay tribute to the Pakistani forces, while Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz will also participate on the third day.
A special traffic and parking plan has been issued for citizens. The celebrations include rallies, walks and special programs.
Mega concert will be held at Liberty Chowk
The Punjab government announced a series of concerts from May 8 to 10 to commemorate Marka-e-Haq, provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari said recently.
Speaking about the celebrations, she said that a grand concert will be held at Liberty Market on May 8 and 9. CM Maryam Nawaz will also attend a prestigious ceremony on May 10, according to the reports.
Azma Bukhari stated that the sentiments of the provincial cabinet and assembly members reflect those of every Pakistani.
She described the occasion as a year of success that was achieved within just a few hours on May 10.
Further, she paid tribute to the martyrs. Azma Bukhari said she, along with the Chief Minister, honours their sacrifices. She further added that the day will be officially celebrated as a national festivity.
First anniversary of Marka-e-Haq
The Field Marshal earlier congratulated the nation and the armed forces on the completion of the memorial year of the Marka-e-Haq. He called it an important milestone.
He said it reflects national unity, resolve, and commitment to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty at all costs.
The forum stated that observing the Marka-e-Haq at the national level sends a clear message that Pakistan is united, strong, and fully prepared.
