Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has advised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to focus on improving Sindh instead of criticising the election process.
Speaking about the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, Maryam congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers on their victory. She said the people of Azad Kashmir appreciated the leadership and presence of Nawaz Sharif, adding that the public trusts him because he fulfils his promises. She said the PML-N had successfully completed the first phase of the elections.
Responding to Bilawal Bhutto’s remarks during the election campaign, Maryam Nawaz criticised the PPP government’s performance in Sindh.
She said election results are decided by the people, not by the state, and questioned why the PPP alleged rigging after failing to win the Azad Kashmir elections.
Addressing Bilawal directly, Maryam said he had neither a performance record nor a clear roadmap to present to voters. She added that he failed to explain his government’s achievements or address the needs of the people of Azad Kashmir.
Maryam further said that political rhetoric and complaints alone are not enough, adding that today’s voters are aware and expect tangible performance from political leaders.
