Nadia Jamil opens up about her age on Nida Yasir's show

Popular 90s actress and host, Nadia Jamil recently opened up about her age on Good Morning Pakistan, a show hosted by Nida Yasir.

During a casual conversation on the show, she mentioned her age, “I will be InshaAllah 54 this year. I am very proud of my age since it is an achievement of its own kind and I made it.”

“I am half a century old”, Nadia Jamil expressed in full delight. The actress added that she believes in supporting other women and said, “women should be each other’s cheerleaders.”

While talking about her friendship and close bond with Mahrukh Tahir, Nadia added, “I used to be very pampered and spoiled. I didn’t take my career seriously. Mahrukh, on the other hand, is like a firecracker. She’s such a strong powerful presence. But her relationship with herself and her career, the way she balanced her family and career in such a graceful manner has greatly inspired me.”

Mahrukh then responded by saying, “We inspire each other and continue to deal with challenges that come along the way.”

Who is Nadia Jamil?

Nadia Jamil gained recognition in the late 1990s as one of Pakistan’s most esteemed television actresses, celebrated for her authentic acting style and timeless aesthetic.

She made her debut on PTV with a remake of Kiran Kahani in 1998.

Fans often call her 90s appearances as the depiction of “real beauty” in the history of Pakistani television.

At the height of her career, she was also offered a role in the Bollywood film Veer-Zaara by director Yash Chopra, which she chose to decline in order to focus on her family responsibilities at that time.
