NADRA new B-form system

NADRA has introduced a new procedure for issuing B-Forms for children, under which each child will now receive three separate B-Forms at different stages of their early life.

According to NADRA, it is the only official agency that issues identity cards and other identification documents to Pakistani nationals, both locally and internationally.

The new system will make child registration simple and maintain proper record-keeping.

B-forms issuance timeline

  • Given at birth without a photograph, part of the family until the age of three years.
  • Since it is issued after the child attains the age of three and it contains a photograph, it is valid until the child attains the age of 10 years.
  • Issued after the child turns 10, with a photograph, iris scan, and fingerprints, valid until the child reaches 18 years of age.

The department has also stated that parents should not fail to register their child within one month of birth in the respective Union Council and should get the first B-Form issued by NADRA.

If the parents want to renew after the period of three years, they can visit the closest NADRA office or use the Pak ID mobile application to issue the new B-Form at home.
