The recent Nintendo Direct shared news about upcoming games and updates for titles like ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’, along with new announcements for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems.
The most recent Nintendo Direct aired on June 9, 2026, featuring a 50-minute presentation filled with major announcements from both first-party and third-party developers for the Nintendo Switch and the eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2.
This presentation was quickly succeeded by a 95-minute Nintendo Treehouse: Live session that provided an in-depth look at gameplay for upcoming games.
It highlighted that ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’ will be adapted for Nintendo Switch 2.
It also featured the return of Disney’s popular action RPG series ‘Kingdom Hearts IV,’ a fresh start for the Xenoblade series with ‘Xenoblade Genesis,’ the Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and news about an upcoming free update and paid DLC1 for ‘Pokémon Pokopia.’
It also included updates and previews of other highly anticipated titles for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, such as the comeback of Fox McCloud in ‘Star Fox,’ an enhanced version of ‘Minecraft,’ new insights on ‘Orbitals,’ a detailed look at the tactical RPG ‘Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave,’ and the latest installment in Capcom’s swordplay series ‘Onimusha: Way of the Sword.’
Gamers were further treated to a new glimpse of the treasure-hunting action-shooter ‘Splatoon Raiders,’ local multiplayer features and extra unlockable modes for ‘Rhythm Heaven Groove,’ as well as information on ‘Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World.’
The presentation also announced a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live video that will provide in-depth looks at Splatoon Raiders and Star Fox for Nintendo Switch 2, along with Rhythm Heaven Groove for Nintendo Switch.
