The former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, has said that Pakistan’s nuclear program is only for peace. He also said that Pakistan will never support any war, adding that the country’s nuclear program is not for war.
President PML-N Nawaz Sharif also condemned the attack by Israel on Iran. He also criticised Israel, saying that Israel is committing barbarism. Nawaz Sharif further stated that Israel should stop bombing Iran.
At the same time, the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, also said that Pakistan is firmly standing with his brother country, Iran and assured that Pakistan will remain standing with Iran.
Several social media users and journalists from Pakistan are praising Nawaz Sharif for his mature statement about the Iran-Israel war.
One of the journalists on X wrote, “In the current scenario and international environment, a very mature statement of former PM Nawaz Sharif, stating Pakistan made a nuclear bomb for peace, not for war.”
Pakistan’s stance on Iran-Israel war
Earlier, Pakistan as a country condemned the attacks of Israel on Iran. At the same time, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played their role as mediators to conduct dialogue between Pakistan and the US.
Pakistan’s defence minister, Khawaja Asif, said that Pakistan will always be ready to mediate talks between Iran and the US. He also said that Iran should stop targeting Gulf countries.
Similarly, the federal minister and PML-N leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Pakistan will not become a part of any war. Pakistan is a peaceful country and a supporter of peace in the region, he added.
Iran-Israel war
The Iran-Israel war is still ongoing as both countries are bombing each other. Earlier, Iran attacked the US military bases in the Gulf countries, including Qatar, UAE, Oman and Kuwait.
