The Government of Pakistan has announced the Hajj Policy 2026. Under the new policy, people can pre-register for Hajj from 2027 to 2030 and pay their Hajj expenses through instalments.
The new system allows intending pilgrims to register early through the Pak Hajj App. This gives them more time to plan and save money for the pilgrimage.
Hajj 2027 instalments
According to the policy, people planning to perform Hajj in 2027 can pay the cost in two instalments. Those registering for Hajj in 2028, 2029 and 2030 will be able to make monthly payments.
The government said the money deposited by applicants will be kept in Shariah compliant accounts. Pilgrims will also be able to earn profit on their savings. The policy is meant to help people deal with rising Hajj costs and the effects of inflation.
Advance registration has also been opened for Hajj 2028, 2029 and 2030. Registration for Hajj 2027 is expected to be completed soon.
How to register
To register, applicants must create an account on the Pak Hajj App and verify their email address. They will then need to provide information such as their preferred airport, Hajj package, government or private Hajj scheme, intended year of Hajj, CNIC number, full name, date of birth, gender, education, mobile number, address, province, district and other required details.
Applicants must also upload clear images of the front and back of their CNIC along with a recent passport-size photograph before submitting the application.
The government said the new policy will help people prepare for Hajj in advance instead of arranging the full amount at one time.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has encouraged people planning to perform Hajj in the coming years to use the advance registration and instalment payment facility.
