Pakistan team reaches Asian Doubles Squash Championships semifinals

Pakistan national team including Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal have reached the 3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championships 2026 semifinals.

On the other hand, Muhammad Hamza Khan and Muhammad Asim Khan were defeated in their quarterfinal match.

Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal successfully secured 2-1 (10-12, 11-4, 11-2) win against South Korea’s Oh Seojin and Lee Minwoo.

While Muhammad Hamza Khan and Muhammad Asim Khan suffered a 1-2 (4-11, 11-9, 7-11) loss against Malaysia’s Sanjay Jeeva and Duncan Lee.

The 3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championships semifinals will take place on June 20.

Pakistan wins 6 medals at Asian Junior Squash Championship 2026

The development comes after Pakistan secured a total of six medals, including two gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship 2026 in May.

The competition took place from 20 May to 24 May in Panzhihua, Sichuan, China.

Young squash talent from around the world came together at the prestigious event. Players competed in multiple age categories such as U13, U15, U17 and U19.

Noman Khan claimed the Asian Junior Under-17 (U17) Squash Championship title by securing a victory over his Indian opponent.

Ahmed Ryan Khalil achieved the Asian Junior Under-15 (U15) title by delivering a dominant performance.

Mahnoor Ali secured a silver medal after showing an exceptional performance in the Girls Under-15 final.
