The Board of Directors of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has approved an annual bonus for employees for the fiscal year 2025–26, according to reports today. The decision also includes strict rules for eligibility and accountability of the people.
PESCO staff one-month salary bonus
According to an official notification, employees working on regular, contract, and deputation basis will receive a bonus equal to one month’s basic salary.
Employees on a lump-sum and daily-wage basis will also get an incentive equal to one month’s initial basic pay.
The company also said that only those employees who have completed at least six months of service will be eligible for the bonus.
PESCO also said that employees involved in corruption, power theft, or any misconduct will not receive the bonus.
Employees who are facing investigations by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), or any other authority will also not be included.
The notification also added that employees who have faced major disciplinary action will also not be eligible for the reward.
It further said that staff responsible for delays in net metering approvals, billing connections, or complaint handling through the 118 Complaint Portal will also be excluded.
The decision comes amid other administrative developments in the company. It was taken a day after Governor Faisal Karim Kundi directed PESCO to make sure that an uninterrupted power supply across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the Muharram period.
During a meeting with a PESCO delegation led by Chief Executive Engineer Akhtar Hameed Khan, officials briefed the governor on ongoing projects.
They said that equipment for the Band Korai Grid Station has already been delivered. They added that the grid station in Dera Ismail Khan will be started after legal issues are resolved.
