As petrol prices continue to rise across Pakistan, motorists can cut their fuel expenses by taking advantage of cashback offers, loyalty programmes, and digital payment discounts available through selected bank cards and mobile wallets.
Consumers can save on fuel by using dedicated loyalty programmes such as GO Cards, which offer reward points, cashless payments, and exclusive savings at more than 150 participating fuel stations nationwide.
Several banks also provide fuel-related benefits through their cards. The HBL FuelSaver Credit Card offers up to five percent cashback on fuel purchases, while Standard Chartered’s Xtra Mile account is designed to help customers save on petrol expenses through exclusive rewards.
Digital wallets are also offering fuel discounts. Easypaisa users can receive instant cashback by scanning QR codes at selected petrol stations, providing an easy way to reduce fuel costs.
In addition, leading fuel companies, including Shell and Attock, have launched their own loyalty cards and mobile app-based reward programmes, allowing customers to earn points and enjoy discounts on petrol purchases.
Petrol prices increase
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced new prices for petroleum products, increasing the rates of both petrol and high-speed diesel.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 0.12 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 0.66 per litre.
The new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 336.03 per litre. Similarly, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 392.38 per litre.
Under the new daily pricing system, on July 17, the government increased the price of petrol by Rs 5.44 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 31.50 per litre for the next three days. Following this increase, petrol reached Rs 316.15 per litre, while diesel was priced at Rs 354.35 per litre.
