The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march convoy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has started moving towards Detour Road from Bara Bazar, according to reports today.

Who is part of the convoy?

According to an update issued on October 7, the convoy currently has around 3,500 to 4,000 people and 300 to 350 vehicles.
The Chief Minister (CM) of KP, Sohail Afridi, is also travelling with the convoy, the report adds.
The convoy is being led by several PTI lawmakers and party leaders, including MNAs Iqbal Afridi, Shandana Gulzar and Shahid Khattak.
MPAs Shafi Jan, Sher Ali Afridi, Abdul Ghani Afridi and Adnan Qadri are also part of the leadership.
President of the Insaf Doctors Forum, Dr Nabi Jan, is also accompanying the convoy.

PTI long march draws 400 to 500 people in Karak

Previously, the PTI long march in KP saw a low turnout before moving towards its next destination.
PTI had claimed that around 4 million people would join the march. However, reports suggested that only a small number of workers attended the gathering.
According to reports on October 5, around 400 to 500 people were present at the venue in Karak.
The turnout was significantly lower than the number claimed by the party earlier. The gathering took place despite preparations for the march.
The march was expected to move from Gandi Chowk in Karak towards Kohat.
The next stop was announced at Lachi Ground, which is around 25 kilometres from Kohat city.
Reports said the number of participants in Karak remained low during the gathering.

“Whose agenda does PTI want to serve?”

Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said yesterday that Pakistan needs peace, stability, development and economic recovery.
He questioned those marching towards Islamabad and asked them to think about whose agenda they were serving.
Speaking at an event in his home constituency of Narowal, Ahsan Iqbal said ending terrorism was a national duty. He said Pakistan was facing a difficult situation but needed peace and stability to move forward.
