The Punjab government has announced new vacancies for women under the Maryam Nawaz Community Health Inspector Programme. Selected candidates will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs50,000.
The programme aims to improve basic preventive healthcare services and gives qualified female healthcare workers an opportunity to serve people close to their homes.
Who can apply?
- Women applying for the Community Health Inspector positions must be registered with the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC)
- Eligible qualifications include Charge Nurse, Lady Health Visitor (LHV), Midwife, Community Midwife and Family Welfare Worker (FWW)
- Maximum age limit for applicants is 43 years
- Monthly honorarium is Rs50,000
- The deadline for applications is September 20, 2026
Moreover, vacancies are available across Punjab. Selected women may be assigned duties in their nearest area or union council, making it easier for them to serve their local communities.
How to apply?
Eligible women can submit their applications online through the Punjab Health Department’s Community Health Inspector portal. Applicants should carefully review the requirements and provide the required information and documents before submitting their applications.

Roles of the women community health inspectors
Community Health Inspectors are intended to bring healthcare services directly to households, especially in areas that have limited coverage.
Their work includes door-to-door visits, maintaining household health information and patient records, disease surveillance and basic health screening. They can also support vaccination programmes and refer people to hospitals when further treatment is required.
The programme initially operated in 130 union councils across four districts before expanding across Punjab.
The Pakistan Economic Survey 2025-26 says Community Health Inspectors also support maternal and child healthcare, nutrition, family planning, tuberculosis tracing and communicable disease surveillance.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has presented the initiative as an important part of Punjab’s preventive healthcare strategy.
