Punjab announces 460 scholarships for Balochistan students

The Punjab government has announced 460 scholarships for students from the Balochistan province on Tuesday. The aim is to help deserving students get a better education and improve learning opportunities.

Officials said the Punjab Education Endowment Fund will handle the application process. Students from poor and underprivileged backgrounds have been encouraged to apply through the official program.

The students who have been selected will be able to study in top educational institutions across Pakistan. This will help them grow academically and build better career opportunities.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti also praised the program. He said it will raise education standards in remote areas and help talented students move forward.

He added further that equal education is important for development. He further said that scholarships will support students and also help the overall progress of Balochistan.

Punjab announces new scholarships

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved new steps to improve college education across the province.

The decisions were taken on Saturday. She also approved transport support and increased scholarships for students.

She chaired a meeting previously to review ongoing projects of the School Education Department and the Higher Education Department.

The Chief Minister further ordered that all commerce colleges in Punjab be linked with public universities.

Under this plan, 36 colleges in 29 districts will be connected with 19 government universities.

Maryam Nawaz also approved the establishment of modern IT labs in 166 government colleges.

She directed officials to provide laptops to minority students on merit. She also approved scholarships for visually impaired and other special-needs students in the next phase.
