Terrorists belonging to the Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij carried out a joint attack on two Frontier Corps (FC) posts in the Spin Karez and Zarghoon Ghar areas of Quetta on Wednesday.
According to initial information, FC troops repelled the attack and forced the attackers to retreat. Three terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire, according to the reports.
Security officials said that firing was still continuing intermittently. Additionally, the FC personnel were holding their positions as well.
Before this, FC Balochistan (South) carried out an intelligence based operation in Dalbandin on July 29, 2026, killing three militants.
The operation was conducted in the Hedag Gadani Hotel area of Chagai district after security forces received intelligence about the presence of suspected militants.
According to the reports, the suspects were allegedly involved in setting fire to six LPG tankers and 15 heavy vehicles in the Padag area. They were also accused of arson, extortion and robbing local people.
According to the details, three suspected militants were killed during the operation. Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the site.
Security forces destroy two explosive-laden vehicles
In another incident today, security forces destroyed two explosive laden vehicles and also killed four terrorists during an intelligence based operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, the military said.
According to a statement, the operation was launched after security forces received intelligence about the presence of terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan.
During the operation, security forces found and intercepted two vehicles carrying explosives. The vehicles had reportedly been prepared as vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs).
Security personnel destroyed both vehicles before they could be used. Four terrorists operating the vehicles were also killed during the operation.
A search operation is also continuing in the area to find and eliminate any other terrorists who may be hiding there.
The military said security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue counterterrorism operations under Azm-e-Istehkam, the national strategy approved under the National Action Plan.
It added that Pakistan will continue its efforts to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism and maintain peace and security across the country.
