Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Ahmed Al Maliki, at the Prime Minister’s House on Wednesday evening, according to PM house officials.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his respect and best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister and Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations. He thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his continued support, which has brought the two countries closer. Sharif highlighted his meetings with the Crown Prince over the past year, describing them as highly productive and instrumental in advancing bilateral cooperation.
The discussions also covered recent regional and global developments. Prime Minister Sharif emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to maintain peace and stability in the region.
Ambassador Al Maliki conveyed congratulatory messages from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s desire to enhance cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors of mutual interest.
