Sindh has become the first province in Pakistan to connect all its educational boards with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The provincial government has signed an agreement with NADRA to link all education boards to its digital system.
The signing ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Universities Ismail Rahoo, NADRA’s Director General (DG) and chairmen of the educational boards.

How will the agreement help students?

Ismail Rahoo said the new system would help stop fake degrees and prevent people from taking exams on behalf of other students.
He said the link with NADRA would make the examination system more transparent. It would also help keep educational records safe and make them available in digital form.
The minister added that students would be able to access their verified educational degrees through the Pak ID app.

Will educational boards pay for the service?

NADRA’s Director General said the authority would provide the integration service to all educational boards free of charge.
The purpose of this agreement is to help improve the security of educational records and make the verification process easier.

Where were board exams postponed in Pakistan?

Earlier, all eight education boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) postponed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual-II Examinations 2026 for the second time.
The exams were due to start on Monday, October 12. However, the boards delayed them again due to the current emergency situation.
All eight Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) issued separate notifications to confirm the postponement.
The exams will remain postponed until further notice. The boards have not announced a new date yet. A revised schedule will be shared when the situation allows the exams to resume.
Students are advised to check official announcements from their respective boards for updates. Schools and parents should also follow the latest notifications.
