Security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations across Balochistan, further tightening the noose around terrorists.
According to security sources, six terrorists belonging to Fitna-Al-Hindustan were killed during a timely operation conducted in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung, Balochistan. Meanwhile, several terrorists were arrested during an intelligence-based operation conducted by the security forces.
The arrested terrorists include male and female suicide bombers, as well as their facilitators, the sources said.
During the successful operation, several terrorist hideouts and those used for ambushes were destroyed by the security forces. A large quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists’ hideouts during the operation.
Search and clearance operations remained ongoing in the area, while the security forces maintained strict surveillance throughout the operation.
In recent days, following the heinous terrorist activities in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung, intelligence-based operations were intensified by the security forces, the sources added.
The security forces’ operations will continue until terrorism is eliminated and peace and stability are restored in the region, security sources said.
It is worth mentioning here that an arrested facilitator of Fitna al Khawarij in the current week has revealed that terrorist groups misuse religion and seek self-serving fatwas from unregistered seminaries to recruit operatives, justify criminal activities, and advance extremist agendas.
According to details, the arrested facilitator, Maulvi Zafaryab, studied at Jamia Nizamul Uloom, Bannu, and later became associated with Fitna al Khawarij. During questioning, he admitted to maintaining links with foreign commander Hikmat Roshan and being affiliated with the Gul Bahadur Shura.
The suspect claimed he completed eight years of Dars-e-Nizami studies at Nizamul Uloom’s orphan department before pursuing a three-year specialisation in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) at Al-Markaz Al-Islami, Ghoriwala.
According to his statement, Khawarij commanders sought religious rulings to justify extortion, intimidation of businessmen, and other illegal activities under the guise of jihad. He further revealed that senior terrorist figures offered money, positions, and financial incentives to individuals willing to facilitate their operations.
