Passenger coach crashes into dumper on Swat Expressway, four die

Four people were killed and seven others were seriously injured in a horrific collision between a passenger coach and a dumper on the Swat Expressway.

According to Levies officials, the accident occurred on the Swat Expressway when the passenger coach collided with the dumper.

Rescue teams immediately launched an operation following the crash and shifted the injured to a local hospital for medical treatment. Some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

The Levies said the deceased and injured belonged to Mardan, Kohistan and Bajaur.

Further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Earlier, at least 11 people lost their lives while 07 others sustained critical injuries after a Hiace passenger van crashed into a bus on the Swat Expressway on 02, August, 2026.

According to reports, the accident occurred near Ismailya when the van reportedly rammed into the rear side of a bus that was parked along the roadside.

Eyewitnesses said the collision was severe, causing heavy casualties among passengers travelling in the van.

Following the incident, teams from the Motorway Police and Rescue 1122 reached the scene and shifted the deceased and injured to Mardan Medical Complex for medical treatment.

Initial investigations suggested that the accident occurred due to the negligence and careless driving of the van driver.

Officials said the bus was travelling from Karachi to Buner, while the Hiace van was heading towards Dir from Rawalpindi.
