The Islamic Republic of Iran has started its retaliatory operation against the US strikes, as per the latest updates.
Iranian state media reported explosions near Larak island and said Iranian military personnel and civilians were among those killed or wounded in the US attack.

The US forces struck two rocket launchers belonging to IRGC on Larak island, according to US officials, amid rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.
According to media reports, the US official said that the launchers were targeted as IRGC personnel were preparing to fire rockets carrying naval mines towards the strategic waterway.
The US said the operation was intended to prevent a potential threat to commercial shipping using the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important routes for the transport of oil and other goods.
US forces have continued to monitor the area and remain prepared to take further action to protect shipping, officials said.
The strikes come as the US has also been involved in efforts to clear mines from key shipping routes around the strait.
