Who will be the next AJK president?

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has nominated Dr Muhammad Najeeb Naqi as the party’s candidate for the presidency of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to the private media outlet, Najeeb Naqi thanked Nawaz Sharif for nominating him for the key constitutional position.

He said the nomination reflected Nawaz Sharif’s trust not only in him but also in the people of the region.

Najeeb Naqi described the nomination as a vote of confidence and said addressing public difficulties would be his top priority in the current challenging circumstances.

He pledged to make every effort to reduce the problems faced by the people of AJK.

He also said a decision regarding the political successor would be made when the time comes.

Following his nomination, political leaders and PML-N workers have continued to visit Kashmir House in Muzaffarabad to congratulate Najeeb Naqi on becoming the party’s presidential candidate.

Earlier, PML-N president Nawaz Sharif, vowing to bring prosperity to Azad Jammu and Kashmir if elected to power, said development projects similar to those underway in Punjab would also be launched in the region, along with modern transport and healthcare facilities

Addressing a large rally in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday along with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif said that if PML-N wins, he would ask PM Shahbaz Sharif to make him Prime Minister of AJK.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed a political rally in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir. While addressing, he said, “I love Kashmir.” He also said that Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz also loves Kashmir.
