Ziarat tragedy

The first round of negotiations between the government’s negotiation committee, the Ziarat tragedy sit-in committee, and the families of the victims has concluded in Quetta, with both sides reaching a consensus on a draft agreement.

According to sources in the government delegation, the draft has been finalised, and both parties are expected to sign the agreement soon.

Officials said the signed agreement will be presented to protesters following Friday prayers. Once approved, the bodies of the victims will be transported to their native areas for burial.

Government sources also dismissed reports circulating on social media, describing them as inaccurate and urging the public to rely only on official updates.

Authorities said talks between the government delegation and the protest committee will continue to ensure the full implementation of the agreed terms and to address the concerns of the victims’ families.
