A fire broke out at a wood storage shed at Bogra Chowk in Chaman on October 2, 2026.
FC North personnel from CT SOC CS and 40 FF reached the site soon after the incident. They are working with the Civil Administration Fire Brigade to control the fire.
Two water bowsers from FC North and CS are also assisting the fire brigade in the firefighting operation.
Before this, a Suzuki Bolan carrying school children caught fire after it went off the road near Masiari Lower Mohra Bara Hotar in Murree, according to Rescue 1122.
Rescue officials said the van lost control and went off the road. It then suddenly caught fire.
The vehicle was carrying students from government and private schools. Ten people, including the driver, were injured in the accident.
Rescue personnel took the injured out of the vehicle. They provided first aid and shifted the children to Civil Hospital Murree. The Rescue 1122 firefighting team also controlled the fire.
Fire engulfs petrol shops in Lahori Gate area
Previously, a major fire broke out at shops selling petrol in the Lahori Gate area of Peshawar. It caused significant damage and financial losses, according to local residents and witnesses.
The fire reportedly spread quickly across several petrol-selling shops. Thick smoke rose from the area and raised fears of further explosions due to the presence of highly flammable fuel.
Witnesses said the fire caused losses worth millions of rupees. However, the exact amount of damage has not yet been independently confirmed.
The incident also led to concerns about safety arrangements in the area. Residents questioned whether the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) authorities had proper safety and emergency measures in place.
Local residents said that shops storing and selling petrol in a busy neighbourhood could pose a serious risk to public safety.
Emergency services were called to the scene to control the fire. The cause of the blaze is still unknown. It has also not been confirmed whether the affected shops were following the required safety rules.
Authorities have not yet announced the findings of an investigation into the incident.
