Mercedes-Benz is set to launch its fully electric CLA 200 in Pakistan on November 6, 2026. The launch will take place through its local partner, Shahnawaz (Pvt.) Limited.

Although the company has not announced the Pakistani price and local specifications yet, the international model gives an idea of what buyers can expect.
What is new in the electric CLA 200?
The new CLA is different from its previous model, which came with petrol engines. The latest version is built on Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA). This platform is designed for electric and hybrid vehicles.
It also comes with the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) and an updated MBUX infotainment system. The system includes AI-powered voice assistance and new digital features.
Mercedes-Benz has also brought its latest technology to this smaller model instead of keeping it limited to its more expensive cars.
Why did the new CLA win an international award?
The electric CLA won the European Car of the Year 2026 award with 320 points. A panel of 59 car journalists from 23 countries took part in the competition.
It finished ahead of the Škoda Elroq and Kia EV4. The win marked Mercedes-Benz’s first victory in the award since the 450 SE/SEL won in 1974.
The CLA also received recognition for its safety. Euro NCAP named it the Best Performer of 2025 after it achieved the highest overall safety score among the vehicles tested that year.
What are the battery, range and performance details?
The international CLA 200 comes with a rear-mounted electric motor and a usable battery capacity of 58 kWh.
It produces 224 horsepower and can travel up to around 528 kilometres on a single charge under WLTP testing.
The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. It also supports an 800-volt charging system and can charge at up to 200 kW.
According to the international specifications, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes.
