IG Railways Police Muhammad Wasi Fakhre Sultan, accompanied by SRP Rawalpindi and DSP RP-A, conducted a comprehensive inspection on Friday of railway land and associated sites located on Shah Bukhari Road, Rawalpindi, which were recovered during the recent anti-encroachment operation.
During this inspection, the IG Railways Police provided clear directives that no encroachments should be allowed to occur again on the reclaimed railway land under any circumstances.
He stated that protecting railway land and other assets is a fundamental duty of the Railways Police.
He also highlighted the importance of effectively using these valuable assets to improve the revenue of Pakistan Railways.
He instructed the relevant officers to ensure ongoing surveillance of the sites and to maintain close collaboration with railway authorities so that the land can be used in a productive and advantageous manner, enabling the national institution to achieve maximum profit.
The IG Railways Police also visited the SRP Office and associated buildings under construction at PRP Rawalpindi. He directed officials to speed up the completion of the remaining construction work in accordance with the revised PC-1 and emphasised that the auditorium and administrative block should be made operational without delay in coordination with railway authorities.
During his visit to the construction site, he assessed the cleanliness measures and ordered the immediate removal of debris, bushes, and wild vegetation.
The IG Railways Police also proceeded to Hassan Railway Police Lines Rawalpindi, where he evaluated residential and office facilities and issued directives concerning essential development work.
