Inspector General (IG) Sindh Javed Alam Odho has said that names of several influential people have emerged in the Pinky Anmol case and all such cases will be thoroughly investigated.
While speaking to traders during a visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday, the Sindh police chief said many individuals could surface in the Anmol alias Pinky case.
The IG said that several bank accounts linked to Pinky have surfaced and we are still investigating each and every aspect.
He said that Pinky spent most of her time in Lahore, however when she came to Karachi we managed to arrest her with great difficulty.
He said that we are working in close coordination with several other departments including ANF.
the Sindh police chief said the provincial government is working to eliminate drugs. He added that more than 1,000 suspects have been arrested.
He said there is a difference between drug users and drug dealers. “Those involved in the drug trade will not be spared,” he said, adding that a task force is being formed. He urged citizens to share information with authorities.
He requested the media not to glamorise the suspect, warning it could even lead to a film being made on her story.
