Four independent candidates join IPP after winning polls in Gilgit  

Four Independent candidates joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) after winning the elections in Gilgit Baltistan. The independent candidates joined IPP after meeting the Federal Minister of Communications and the president of IPP, Aleem Khan.

Four candidates including Anwar Ali from GBA-23 Ghanche-2, Asad Shafiq from GBA-24 Ghanche-3, Muhammad Dilpazeer from GBA-15 Diamer-1, and Aman Ali from GBA-21 Ghizer-3, won the elections in GB and joined IPP.

Muhammad Dilpazeer, one of the independent candidates, said while speaking to the journalists that a group of four independent candidates joined IPP. He also confirmed contact with other independent candidates, including the winning candidate of  Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM).

During his media talk, he also invited other candidates to join IPP as he mentioned that the IPP would emerge as the second-largest party in the GB assembly.

Earlier, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto, thanked the people of Gilgit Baltistan (GB) for trusting the party, as the PPP leads the elections.

In his tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, Bilawal said, “Gilgit-Baltistan mein teeron ki barish. The Pakistan Peoples Party is emerging as the single largest party, and we will be attempting to form a government.”

He added that I am grateful to the people for their trust and congratulations to Jiyalas on their victory.
