The plane ticket price has been reduced in Pakistan.
As per the media reports, domestic air travel has become slightly cheaper in Pakistan after airlines reduced base ticket prices following a decline in international jet fuel prices.
According to aviation industry sources, several airlines have lowered fares on a number of popular domestic routes, although the overall reduction for passengers remains limited because fuel surcharges and other charges continue to apply.
Under the revised fares, one-way tickets between Islamabad and Quetta range from Rs16,770 to Rs48,890.
Fares from Lahore to Quetta are priced between Rs12,020 and Rs44,140, while tickets between Karachi and Quetta range from Rs13,603 to Rs44,000.
Despite the lower base fares, passengers are still required to pay an average fuel surcharge of Rs7,840, in addition to government taxes and airport charges.
As a result, the total cost of a one-way domestic flight on many routes remains above Rs26,000, depending on the airline, travel date and class of service.
The fare reduction follows a recent decline in global jet fuel prices, which are one of the highest operating costs for airlines.
Aviation analysts said that changes in international oil prices often influence ticket prices, although the impact is not always immediate.
They also note that airfare levels continue to depend on demand, with prices typically rising during weekends, public holidays and other peak travel periods.
The officials said that passengers can usually secure lower fares by booking in advance, while last-minute tickets on busy domestic routes are often more expensive.
