PSL XI: Babar Azam’s blazing century powers Zalmi to massive 255/3 vs Quetta

Babar Azam was able to equal Virat Kohli’s record for the most century partnerships in T20 cricket.

After a very long time Babar Azam made another T20 century in PSL 11. His century powered Peshawar Zalmi to 255-3 against Quetta Gladiators in the 2026 season of the Pakistan Super League.

The Zalmi captain scored his century on the last ball of the innings. He reached the milestone by taking two runs. His brilliant knock was scored on just 52 balls.

This is his 12th century in T20 cricket and third in PSL. This is also the fastest hundred in the league.

This century is very significant for Babar Azam as it was his first T20 century in 67 innings after 783 days.

His innings was packed with aggression and control. He struck four sixes and six fours and only played one dot ball in his entire innings.

The bowlers of Quetta Gladiators throughout the innings struggled to contain him.

Other than Babar Azam, Kusal Mendis also did not show any mercy to Quetta Gladiators. He scored 83 runs and with Babar Azam he made a partnership of 135 runs for the second wicket.

This partnership kept Zalmi in complete control.

Both batters are now equal and have 47 century partnerships in the format. Babar was also able to extend his own record of most century partnerships in PSL.

The match saw one of the biggest totals ever given in the history of the PSL tournament. It is the third-highest total in PSL history.

It is also the highest total by Peshawar Zalmi. It is also the highest PSL total at the National Stadium, Karachi.
