The company said the outage would begin at 9:00pm on Tuesday, 20 October, and continue until 5:00am on Wednesday, 21 October.
The temporary disruption is expected to affect households and other consumers in several parts of the city.
According to SNGPL, the affected areas include Peshawar Cantt, Lady Reading Hospital, Nothia, Gulberg, Charsadda Road and Pajaggi Road, along with surrounding localities.
The company said the work was necessary to relocate the main pipeline near the Zakori Flyover.
SNGPL has advised residents in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for cooking and other essential household needs during the suspension.
Consumers have also been urged to keep gas appliances switched off during the outage and exercise caution when supplies resume.
