Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni arrived in Islamabad on Monday with a high-level delegation for talks with Pakistani leaders. The Iranian Interior Minister is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
At the reception, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry presented a bouquet to the distinguished guest, while Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moqadam was also present on the occasion.
Welcoming his Iranian counterpart, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said, “I welcome my brother upon his arrival in Pakistan.” He expressed hope that Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni’s visit would bring positive developments and further progress in bilateral relations.
Mohsin Naqvi said that Eskandar Momeni’s visit to Pakistan would further strengthen the ties between the two brotherly countries and open new avenues of cooperation in various fields.
The Federal Interior Minister also expressed hope that meaningful progress would be achieved during discussions on the current regional situation and other important issues of mutual interest, further enhancing cooperation and relations between Pakistan and Iran.
During his visit, the Iranian Interior Minister is expected to hold meetings with Pakistan’s leadership, where key issues, including border security, counterterrorism cooperation, bilateral relations and the overall security situation in the region will be discussed in detail.
