Islamabad police have launched a major crackdown against the marriage halls for violating the one-dish policy.

According to the post of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Islamabad on X, formerly known as Twitter, the authorities of the Federal capital have initiated a strict crackdown on all those marriage halls and marquees that violated the one-dish policy.

Various marriage halls and marquees have been sealed for violating the policy for the first time.

Those marquees and marriage halls who violated the policy a second time will be booked under an FIR, while the operators will be arrested immediately.

DC Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, has ordered the police within the capital to continue the operation.

In his post on X, he also requested the public to follow the one-dish policy strictly.

For enforcing the policy completely in the district, DC Islamabad asked the public to report any violation of the one-dish policy to the local police station.

PM Shehbaz releases a message on Labour Day

The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has paid tribute to workers on the occasion of International Labour Day.

Shehbaz Sharif, on May 1, released a message praising the labourers’ role in supporting the country’s economy and society.

In a message marking the day, PM Shehbaz said Pakistan will be observing Labour Day today alongside other countries, recognising the contributions of the working class.

He said the efforts and resilience of workers help keep daily life running and described them as deserving of recognition for their dedication.

He added that workers across different sectors demonstrate strength by facing challenges with dignity.

Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the role of skilled labour, saying it reflects the country’s capacity and professional ability.

He mentioned the overseas workers by saying that millions of Pakistanis working abroad contribute significantly to the national economy.

PM Shehbaz said overseas workers act as representatives of the country and that the income they send home remains an important source of support.
