Media Briefing by Turkey’s Ministry

Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told the media that they lost contact with the aircraft after it departed from Ankara, destined for Tripoli.

The jet requested an emergency landing while it was flying over Ankara’s Haymana district, but no further contact was established.

Four other people were on board, he said.

Flight tracking data clearly shows that other aircraft were being diverted from Ankara’s Esenboğa Airport due to the activation of emergency protocols.
