Abdullah Shafique has been recalled to the Pakistan Test team for the ongoing series against the West Indies and for the Test tour of England while the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced two changes in the Pakistan squad for the series.
Abdullah Shafique will replace the injured left-hander Abdullah Fazal who missed the two-match Test series with the West Indies on the eve of the first Test.
Shafique has now gone on to Trinidad to join the Pakistan squad who are now on tour in the Caribbean.
The PCB has also included Saud Shakeel into their squad as another replacement, giving the team management one more option in the batting department before the second match against West Indies.

Pakistan are currently on a tour of the West Indies, and will now take on the hosts in a Two-Test match series.
The changes to the squad take place at a crucial part of the tour when the home side is seeking to improve their batting line-up for the remainder of the series.
After West Indies, Pakistan heads to England for their three-match Test series from August 19 to September 13 after the conclusion of their tour.
Each of the five Tests in the West Indies and England tours this year is crucial as they are a part of Pakistan’s bid to earn valuable championship points under the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 format.
Abdullah Shafique’s entry brings some more experience to the Pakistan batting side.
The right-hander, who played a significant role during Pakistan’s white-ball endeavours, will be looking to make a quick mark in the Caribbean, as he prepares to face England.
