Mohsin Naqvi holds talks with Iranian counterpart on regional developments, bilateral ties

The Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, held an important meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, today.

According to the reports, the meeting was held to discuss the regional situation, Pakistan-Iran relations, and other matters of mutual interest.

According to the reports, Mohsin Naqvi gave a special message from Asim Munir to the Iranian interior minister during the meeting.

The two leaders discussed recent developments in the region and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

They also exchanged views on bilateral relations, border cooperation, and the latest political and security situation in the region.

Sources further said that the ministers also discussed tensions between the United States and Iran and shared their views on related issues.

During the meeting, both sides focused on the importance of continued efforts to promote lasting peace, stability, and security in the region.

The ministers also expressed their commitment to improving the cooperation. In addition, to maintain close contact to support regional peace and stability.

The meeting comes at a time when the region is facing several diplomatic and security challenges. Officials believe high level engagement between Pakistan and Iran is important for regional stability.

Mohsin Naqvi meets PM Shehbaz

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi held a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday.  

During the meeting, the Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister on his key engagements held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) conference in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

On this occasion, consultations were also held between the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister regarding the Interior Minister’s upcoming visit to Tehran. The Prime Minister also provided guidance for the visit.

The Prime Minister emphasised the need for close coordination and a unified strategy among all relevant institutions to maintain law and order and further strengthen the country’s security arrangements.
