According to the bureau, one of the main options is the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
Applicants need to first receive a job offer from an employer that is accredited in New Zealand. The visa can be valid for seven months to five years. This depends on the type of job and salary. The employer also provides the online application link.
The bureau also highlighted skilled migrant pathways. These include the Skilled Migrant Category and Straight to Residence visas.
These visas are meant for people with high demand skills and professional experience. They can also provide a pathway to permanent residence in New Zealand.
New Zealand post study work visa
The advisory further said that eligible international students may apply for a post study work visa. This visa allows them to work in New Zealand for up to three years after completing their studies.
It also mentioned other visa options, which include working holiday visas and visas for religious workers.
The BEOE further advised job seekers to learn about their rights before travelling. It said workers should know their legal protections and be aware of the risks of exploitation.
