Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eidul Azha prayers in Lahore on May 27, 2026, along with a large number of worshippers.
He joined the Eid congregation early in the morning and prayed for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan. After the prayers, he exchanged Eid greetings with citizens and met people present at the venue.
In his message, the prime minister urged the nation to remember the poor and deserving people during Eid celebrations. He called for unity among citizens and said collective efforts were needed to overcome national challenges.
Shehbaz Sharif said Eidul Azha carries a strong message of sacrifice and teaches Muslims to put public welfare above personal interests. He stressed that progress and stability can only be achieved when people work together with honesty and dedication.

Earlier, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz extended Eidul Azha greetings to the people of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah, saying the festival promotes sacrifice, compassion, love, and humanity.
In her Eid message, she said Muslims who follow the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) by offering sacrifice deserve respect and appreciation. She added that Eidul Azha teaches people to give up personal desires for the sake of Allah and to include poor and needy people in the celebrations.
