The Punjab government has announced plans to establish a network of public schools modeled after the standards of Aitchison College, aiming to provide students across the province with access to world-class education and modern learning facilities.
According to the proposal, the new institutions will follow the educational philosophy and quality benchmarks associated with Aitchison College. The schools will focus on academic excellence, character development, leadership skills, discipline, and extracurricular activities.
Officials said the institutions will be equipped with modern classrooms, science laboratories, computer facilities, libraries, and sports infrastructure. Creating such institutions across Punjab will help bridge the gap between elite private schools and government educational institutions.
Moreover, special emphasis will also be placed on recruiting highly qualified teachers. The schools are expected to deliver an education system comparable to leading institutions and promote merit-based admissions.
Authorities stated that the schools will gradually be established throughout Punjab, allowing students from different socioeconomic backgrounds to benefit from quality education.
