Rain, hailstorms hit several areas of Islamabad today

The Federal Capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, has been hit by rain, winds, and hailstorms, including the DHA Phase 5 of the city, on Monday.

Rain forecast across Pakistan

The Meteorological Department has predicted rains in different parts of the country from tomorrow to June 20, due to which the weather is likely to be pleasant in many cities.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in the federal capital Islamabad from tomorrow to June 20, while rain has also been forecast in Murree, Galiyat, the Pothohar region and various areas of Punjab.

According to the forecast, rains are also expected in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, which is likely to reduce the intensity of the heat.

The Meteorological Department says that rain may also occur in a few areas of Sindh, while there is a possibility of light rain in Karachi and its surroundings during this time.

Rain in Islamabad today

The rain, drizzle, and hailstorm have successfully broken the intense summer heat in the city. The temperature dropped in the city, and the weather became highly pleasant.

Islamabad weather today

According to BBC Weather, the weather today in Islamabad is expected to be clear sky with a gentle breeze as the temperature drops to a low of 23°C, at night.

The evening is expected to be warm at around 33°C at 6:00 PM. However, it may cool down to 28°C by late tonight with a negligible chance of rain.

A brief patch of light rain or drizzle can occur in the early morning hours, around 4:00 AM, before clearing up for a sunny morning.

For the rest of the week, the weather will stay consistently hot and sunny with daytime highs hovering between 34°C and 36°C. However, some light rain showers can be expected on Friday.

Lahore weather today

A weak weather system is expected to affect Lahore and other parts of Punjab, according to reports today. It is bringing dusty winds and rain to many areas.

In addition to this, the rain received on Saturday has already helped to reduce the heat across the province.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore can see a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Karachi weather: rain breaks summer spell

Previously, rain in different areas of Karachi broke the severe heat spell within the city. The residents in several parts of Karachi experienced light rain late at night on June 15.

The rainfall was reported in a number of neighbourhoods, including Gulshan e Iqbal, Gulistan e Jauhar, University Road and Sohrab Goth, where intermittent drizzle continued under cloudy conditions.

Heavier showers were also recorded along Abul Hasan Isphani Road, Rashid Minhas Road and nearby areas. The rainfall activity extended across additional parts of the largest city of the country.
