China has rejected reports that it supplied air-defence missiles to Iran, calling the claims baseless.
According to Arab media, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry denied the report, which an international news agency had published. The spokesperson said the report was false and did not reflect the facts.
China firmly rejected the allegations and said it has not supplied air-defence missiles to Iran.
The spokesperson said China continues to support peace and stability and encourages countries to resolve disputes through peaceful means.
Beijing also supports diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and opposes actions that could further increase conflict.

Earlier, the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, has ordered a one-day pause in airstrikes against Iran, temporarily halting the daily military operations that had continued for nearly two weeks, according to US media reports today.
No US strikes were carried out on Friday. However, it remains unclear whether the pause is limited to one day or signals the beginning of a possible ceasefire or diplomatic breakthrough.
