Crown Electric Mobility has launched a new electric motorcycle in Pakistan, as demand grows for alternatives to petrol-powered transport.
The model, called the Crown Electric X200, is aimed at urban commuters and is designed for everyday city use rather than high performance.
The company said the bike uses a multi-mode motor system, allowing it to adjust power output based on riding conditions.
During normal use, it operates at around 2000 watts to improve efficiency, with higher output available when additional acceleration is needed.
The X200 is priced at Rs289,900 and is currently available in black and red.
While this places it above many entry-level petrol motorcycles, the company says lower running costs could make it a practical option over time.
According to the manufacturer, the bike combines a brushless motor with a lithium iron phosphate battery.
This type of battery is commonly used in electric vehicles due to its durability and stability.
The company says the bike can travel between 100 and 120 kilometres on a single charge in eco mode.
Its top speed is estimated at between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour, placing it within the range of commuter-focused electric bikes.
Electric vehicles have gained attention in Pakistan in recent years, as rising fuel prices have pushed some consumers to look for more cost-effective options for daily travel.
