Pakistan’s first permanent 7D cinema coming to Lahore Safari Park

Lahore Safari Park is set to launch Pakistan’s first permanent 7D cinema next month, offering visitors an immersive experience that combines modern technology with wildlife education. The new attraction will focus on wildlife, biodiversity and conservation, giving visitors an interactive opportunity to learn about different species, their natural habitats and the importance of protecting ecosystems.

The 7D cinema will also highlight the importance of human-wildlife coexistence through interactive and educational content designed to raise awareness about conservation. Officials expect the new facility to attract families, students and tourists, adding a new educational and recreational attraction to the park. The project is part of Lahore Safari Park’s broader modernisation programme and Punjab’s efforts to promote wildlife tourism and environmental awareness.

Punjab expands Wildlife awareness drive with mobile theatres

The project will not be limited to Lahore. Under the programme, plans are also underway to introduce mobile theatres in different parts of Punjab. These mobile facilities will take educational wildlife content to other cities and areas across the province.

According to the Wildlife Department, one of the key objectives of the project is to promote wildlife tourism and increase visitor numbers at the Safari Park. Officials expect the introduction of modern entertainment and educational facilities to raise public awareness about wildlife and environmental conservation, particularly among children and young people.

An extensive modernisation programme is also underway at Lahore Safari Park. The second-phase master plan includes several new facilities, including a large aquarium, a walk-through bird aviary, a wildlife-themed park and an Immersive Experience Centre. The project aims to transform the Safari Park into a comprehensive centre for modern entertainment, education and wildlife conservation.

In March 2026, the Punjab government said that the 7D Wildlife Cinema at Lahore Safari Zoo was nearing completion, while several other modern facilities were also being introduced. According to the Wildlife Department, the project, which includes the 7D cinema and mobile theatres, has an estimated cost of approximately Rs 1.72 billion. It was planned for implementation from July 2024 to June 2026.
